My brother wants to donate to OWS.
He wants to remain anonymous because of his job.

Can someone please supply a good source.

1. Is there an OWS near him? He could walk a donation over.

3. He's about 30 miles from Pittsburgh. nt
I think he wants to donate in general and let the people decide where it is needed.

15. I agree.
As we are talking, he wants to go and be a part. I'l handle the donations in cash.

Plus, we can use our vehicle to go and get what is needed and those won't show up on the radar of the PTB.

18. I understand.
But he can only withdrawl $400/day. So that cash and equipment on debit card would work.

Water...maybe 5 cases and some gas containers. I'll ask my friends for blankets and socks.

Would love to bring my big screen for the game.

2. Some of them could use "stuff." They have mailing addresses.
Tell him to go on the site where they have the live streams and talk to some of the people there. They can probably help him.

5. Thank you!
I was thinking a money order or two. Is there no central location?

12. I think NYC was taking donations--but I don't know if they are handing them out to others.
That's why I think going to the live stream and asking might be best. Straight from the source.

7. This is from the Occupy Pittsburgh site:
NEEDS:

1.02 lb and 20lb propane canisters. And cash...
A laptop or two. Call 412-465-0455.

http://www.occupypittsburgh.org/

So maybe you or he could call that number and that person may be able to help?

10. That is great!!
Thank you so much. We plan to go tomorrow, our first time. It doesn't seem like Pittsburgh is arresting people.
That might ruin his career. Me...I don't care if arrested.

Thanks again for the link and number!!!!!!

DU is the best...and Steelers beat those Patriots!!!!

14. He needs to be anonymous.
He does contracts with the very people that OWS is fighting.

He does well but is not the scoundrels we all know. He is a technical need for them because they cannot do the work themselves, and he knows it.

So we'll go downtown this weekend and get to know everyone and take some pics and help them out.

Bookmarked their website and we are looking forward to it.

Thanks all.

17. Occupy Pittsburgh is GREAT. The people are fantastic. Go!! :-)
Edited on Fri Oct-28-11 08:59 PM by demodonkey

I've been down there at least three times. Wish I could do more, but have my own personal crisis at the moment that prevents it.

You can drop off stuff, hang out, help with stuff, whatever... the people are inspiring.

19. Thanks for your post!
I'm going and so is my brother. He can't stay, but I work online.

Wondering what they have for power so I can stay. A generator?

I'll find out tomorrow. BTW...i'm a former Marine...1977-1981.

I hope I can hold back on being assaulted...if that happens...don't think I could allow myself to be treated badly. I do understand the protocol, however. I'll get some good pics. Can't walk far but i'll do what I can.
