A conservative calls out the RW: "Moving past right-wing rhetoric"
Yes, this is from Scarborough, but credit where credit is due. He decisively calls out Beck and Palin, with a sizable dose of disdain for Gingrich, Pawlenty, Romney and others as well. He records Beck's culpability in the George "Byron" Williams planned attacks on Tides. Worth a read, if nothing else.

Moving past right-wing rhetoric

We get it, Sarah Palin. You’re not morally culpable for the tragic shooting in Tucson, Ariz. All of us around the “Morning Joe” table agree, even if we were stunned that you would whine about yourself on Facebook as a shattered family prepared to bury their 9-year-old girl.

The same goes for you, Glenn Beck. You’ve attacked your political opponents with words designed to inspire hatred and mind-bending conspiracy theories from fans. Calling the president a racist, Marxist and fascist may be reprehensible, but it did not lead a mentally disturbed man to take a Glock to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’s “Congress on Your Corner” event.

--snip--
But before you and the pack of right-wing polemicists who make big bucks spewing rage on a daily basis congratulate yourselves for not being responsible for Jared Lee Loughner’s rampage, I recommend taking a deep breath. Just because the dots between violent rhetoric and violent actions don’t connect in this case doesn’t mean you can afford to ignore the possibility — or, as many fear, the inevitability — that someone else will soon draw the line between them.

2. And at least they have started Morning Joe Scum
with the Kelly clip about his wife rubbing his back rather than the ignorant narcissistic Grifter spewing the usual bulllshit.

3. Even a blind squirrel gets an acorn now and then
I find it interesting that even though JS managed to be on the right side of a issue, his comments say as much about the current Republican party as anything else.

His comments about the Rs and their rhetoric still has a single focus. Not what is best for America. Not that America needs to come together and put aside our bitter differences. Not that it's not in the best interest of Democracy to call the president a Nazi, Communist, Socialist, white people hating, America hating Kenyan. No, his main focus was what to do to get elected.

They reveal themselves always in all ways.

5. Scumbag wants to run for president. Prior to this year, he was all for right wing nuttery.
I don't believe his sincerity. It's politically expedient for him to talk this way. Please don't fall for it.

6. I doubt anyone is falling for anything... nontheless, it stings the RW
to have their hypocrisy and arrogance derided by one of their own--on both tv and in print.

14. re:
I should have clarified that I doubt anyone HERE is bamboozled by him, given how we have tracked his attempts at "comeback" since the 'mysterious' death of the intern in his office.

That doesn't mean that he couldn't pull the wool over the eyes of others, who follow politics less closely. That said, when you look at the horrendous state of what passes for a serious candidate on the "right," moderate voices as Scab appears to be trying to channel, are pretty much drowned out.

15. I wonder how he will be treated by "Uncle Pat" and the right wing machine in general.
Yes, you're right. We are well aware of their shenanigans, but I can see him being a hit with Independent voters and that's dangerous in my view. He paints himself as a moderate Republican, but when it's all said and done, the loyalty lies with the party. It'll be interesting to see how he'll tread water when it comes to the nominations process. Will his enemies on the right revive the "dead intern" issue or leave it alone? We'll see...

9. A devoted right-wing nut job
with an unprosecuted murder on his sheet is lecturing people about responsibility. In Politico no less

Joey Scar is Tweety's alter-ego. Tweety leans left, Scar is a right-winger. Both change their song whenever the wind changes.

This isn't the first time he has made much sense! Perhaps we should recalibrate conditioned reflexes. Conservatives are our opponents, but not necessarily our enemies,
