Poll question: How much time do you DU in an average day? |
|
We have a broad base of regular DUers. Those than don't work for a living (their choice or not) have more time to enjoy the place. I'm just wondering how much time some people spend here. Weekend traffic seems to be slowing indicating we do have lives outside of the DU.
This is my hobby. I spend a lot of time here.

1. I go away, I come back. I do five minutes at a time, at odd times |
|
throughout the day. I don't read it from cover to cover at any one sitting.
The computer is always nearby--a great distraction during, say, a commercial break on TV.

3. Same, will check sometimes between conference calls ... |
|
Sometimes while I'm waiting for kids to finish getting ready for school ... maybe if I have dinner going and once its started, I can sit watch dinner, see what the latest fire on DU is.

8. Same here. I probably check things out about 4 times a day and spend |
|
about two to five minutes each visit.

5. I have a routine to break up my day |
|
Mornings while I am drinking my coffee, I do online genealogy research. Afternoons, needlework, cooking, errands, appointments. In the evenings when I am too tired to do needlework, I DU.
Some days I goof off and DU earlier in the day or in between other stuff. Some days when I am not in the mood for politics or DU is in a contentious mood I read other forums, mostly needlework ones.
Being retired, I have lots of time for this stuff.

6. I can't say every waking minute, because I don't spend THAT much, lol! |
|
I do have other things to do...
But I'm here a lot. I love it here!
I have some really close friends here, and I like to see what they're talking about...
This is a great place!

7. Obviously, a lot. I'm disabled, using my energy to spread #Occupy info. |
