Anyone Know How The OWSers Are Faring Today?
The weather here in NYC is ghastly.

1. I saw a post (with a link) that said somebody was pitching
a tent in the snow, but didn't follow it -- if it's snowing in NYC (is it?) maybe that's what they're doing? God love 'em, every one.

3. I saw a post earlier that NYC was seizing gas and generators
Has anyone suggested sending/donating solar or hand-cranked battery chargers so that at least cell phones, etc., will have power?

4. Portland, OR has a big, and challenging day planned....
http://www.oregonlive.com/news/index.ssf/2011/10/occupy_portland_protesters_set.html

Occupy Portland protesters plan to gather at Tom McCall Waterfront Park to march to the Oregon Convention Center. The march is now set for 1 p.m.

At Waterfront Park, marchers plan to protest what they view as a cynical ploy by Bank of America home-retention specialists to help underwater homeowners "retain" their homes.

From there, the protesters plan to march to Jamison Square in the Pearl District for another protest. Occupy Portland organizers have called the Pearl the "epicenter of wealth and disparity in Portland."

City officials have warned the protesters not to try to expand their occupation to another park, however. City Commissioner Randy Leonard said in an email Friday that protesters will test the City Council if they try to occupy Jamison Square. So far, city officials have allowed the protesters to occupy Chapman and Lownsdale Squares in downtown in violation of the city's anti-camping law.

The Occupation of a 3rd park (in a wealthy neighborhood) is def. planned, the city said clearly "don't do it"' and I think here is where it could start getting all "down-twinkles" here in the fair Rose City.
