Rachel Maddow: That’s enough of Paul Wolfowitz
Source: Raw Story
By Roxanne Cooper

Why is Paul Wolfowitz is being treated by the media as if he still any credibility on U.S. foreign policy? On Friday night, Rachel Maddow launched into an epic rant about his latest piece in Foreign Policy Magazine.

“If you were an architect of the Iraq war, you don’t ever get an opportunity to talk about what’s a good idea for war ever again,” Maddow said.

She then castigated the entire Bush administration of being wrong about Iraq. “I’m sorry, when it comes to war in this country, you had your chance. Blew it. No. Wrong.”

She continued, “You are not going to be consulted on the next big idea since you got the last one so wrong. Take up another hobby. Try to convince us to listen to your big ideas on some other subject. Confess before the cleric of your choosing. But war advice? No. Seriously, you went looking for a plan for Afghanistan and for that plan, you went looking to Paul Wolfowitz? The answer is no, no, no. Ten years of hell, No. Not again.”

1. Repellent little comb-licker.
He ought to be in the dock at The Hague. At the very least, he should be shunned; nobody should ask his advice on anything. Not how to grow African violets or how to get pet stains off a rug or how to hang wallpaper. Especially not anything relating to foreign policy. Dumb bastard should be a pariah.

4. Public disgrace, then prison or obscurity
That is the fate that should have met Wolfowitz and the cabal of which he was part, after their crimes and the costly fiasco they mired us in were exposed.

Problem is, even after being exposed many people (those who watch Fox News and/or listen to Rush Limbaugh) still believe the false narrative under which those crimes were committed. Rather than being indicted or shamed out of the public eye, these criminals are rewarded by being accepted and paid as media "experts" on issues directly related to their crimes.

We're living in really fucked up times :banghead:

5. In America today
the more wrong you are the stronger your voice in the Media. McCain on foreign policy. Paul Ryan on the Budget. Greenspan on the Economy. The list goes on.
The inverse is true as well, the more right you are, the more you are shunned. Krugman, Moore, Gore etc...

6. Thank God for Rachel.
I think she is better than Olbermann.

She is relentless and accurate and presents in an awesome way.

9. The next time I see that name in print, it needs to be an announcement of his arrest
on war crimes charges. Then they can take on what he did at the World Bank.

He was the main architect of the Iraq War. He should rot in prison.
