Police clashed with Occupy protesters in Denver Saturday afternoon. 7 people were arrested amid reports police fired rubber bullets during the scuffle.

Denver police were seen donning riot gear near a large group of people at Civic Center Park.

Protesters say police tore down some of their tents and also fired rubber bullets at a man in a tree.

Denver police say that one of their officer's bikes was tipped over. Reports late Saturday afternoon indicate at least 7 people were arrested.

12. Indeed. See what sort of response you get tipping "hogs" outside...
...a direputable bar?

Jokes aside, anyone who thinks this is going to end without a substantial number of deaths is dangerously deluding themselves.

5. Tipped buke = spilled blood? I thought that sort of response was relegated to biker gangs.

6. I see the newspaper hasn't posted my comment yet
It wasn't bad. Just telling the protestors well done and to stay safe. I guess that's to much for them to allow in their paper.

8. Dishonoring their badges with their militant gang like tactics in Denver as well huh? An officers
bike was tipped over? Well then, obviously if an officers bike was tipped over, the most common sense approach to dealing with such a violent act is to break out the rubber bullets, tear gas canisters and bean bags and commence firing. Sarcasm Alert.

9. Cities all over are realizing they can trample on the rights of the protesters and injure them with
weapons and get away with it.

So what do they have to lose?

Nuttin' honey.

10. And I've always heard Denver was such a cool place....
I am really surprised at this, especially after Oakland.
Riot gear and weapons are just inappropriate response to a bunch of unarmed people
shivering in tents.
