4. Sure does! Now cops can't beat up on people anonymously like they did in the 60s
Their faces now appear worldwide, and without the help of the media!!!! The media refuses to show photos of cops beating up on people. They're always complicit with the 1%.

8. Great use of tax dollars
I count 14 officers at #occupySD watching a meeting. Great use of my tax dollars. Who approved this expenditure?

For the record two, ok...I get it. Two and a sergeant, sure...it's city hall after all. That's like normal.

9. Oh great news from San diego
Edited on Sun Oct-30-11 02:15 AM by nadinbrzezinski
Occupy SD now officially has a sanctioned area for sleeping on the east side of Civic Center Plaza where we can have our sleeping bags and blankets. The cops have agreed to leave the occupiers alone. Everyone in the plaza has to stay awake and cannot fall asleep but those on the grassy area can sleep. We have successfully reoccupied Civic Center Plaza and have now carved out an official sleeping area. The occupation continues!

10. More on the sleeping area
More Details about sanctioned sleeping area: Earlier tonight, Lt. Goldberg held a meeting at Civic Center Plaza with two of his sergeants standing next to him. He explained to everyone that the sanctioned area where we were allowed to sleep was the grassy area on the east side of the plaza. Currently there are approximately 70 occupiers crashed out in sleeping bags next in the sanctioned area. In the actual plaza Lt. Golberg said we could have sleeping bags if they were rolled up, but were not allowed to unroll them or sleep on them. He also explained that they would be removing all the signs not in someone's hand. Slowly but surely Occupy SD is finding a way to communicate with the police. Let's hope compromise continues and Chief Landsdowne doesn't decide to conduct another raid.
