The people have a constitutional right to protest with no restrictions as long as it's peaceful. The constitution trumps all state, county and city laws.
If the police are taking their belongings that is in your face plain out stealing.

5. It's never been held that people have a right to protest with no restrictions...
...any more than you have a right to free speech with no restrictions (including death threats), a right to freedom of religion with no restrictions (including religions which sanction human sacrifice and statutory rape), or a right to keep and bear arms with no restrictions (for type of weapon, or class, or felony status), etcetera.

3. UPDATE : cops say they will not arrest people tonight- but give out criminal tresspass warnings
And those people will be arrested everytime they return o City Hall
