Earlier today, the Chicago Mayor's Office posted the photo above to the mayor's official Facebook page with no explanation other than the following caption: "In case of a zombie apocalypse, remember to stay calm like Rahm. Have a happy and safe Halloween, Chicago!"...

When I posted the photo to my Facebook page, a friend posited: "Those aren't zombies. They are protesters after being beaten out of Grant Park."

Actually, so far I have not heard of any beatings of protesters here in Chicago. Although some of the protesters had some bad experiences while they were jailed for 30 hours.

COLUMBUS — A central Ohio county is using a zombie outbreak on Halloween to prepare for more likely disasters.

"People got zombie fever here in Delaware," said Jesse Carter, a spokesman for the local health district.

More than 200 volunteers in Delaware County north of Columbus will dress as zombies on Monday to help train officials who would deal with real-life situations involving hazardous materials
and disaster response.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have warned people to be prepared for a "zombie apocalypse."
