2. The teabaggers are probably high-fiving each other every time there's violence

4. What surprises me is how nobody has bothered to show the similarities
between the two. They are, essentially, against government malfeasance. If you focus on that point, you might be able to ride in on their draft for a spell, before taking them in the final stretch.

6. They vote for Republicans, therefore they are FOR government malfeasance.
Their entire existence is a lie.

They are for two things, hating Liberals and trying to make Obama a one term president because he's black.

13. No one will agree with you more.
They say one thing and do absolutely the opposite. They're against malfeasance until the good ole boy who lives in their subdivision and works for the City can send them grease money for whatever the City needs. Yet they jump up and down about government waste, all while they're secretly on the take.

AND HERE'S THE THING, IN A REPUBLICAN CITY EVERYONE KNOWS IT'S HAPPENING!

People make careers based on selling out their neighbors.

However, verbally, they're against it.

7. This would be the smart thing to do, strategy-wise...
Edited on Sun Oct-30-11 02:15 PM by Huey P. Long
What we are facing though, are T-bags who are cowardly and unwilling to get out there with OWS and even deride it. They defend PTB and call OWSers 'violent criminals (which of course is not true) but additionally, they do not seem to understand - who was it that dressed up as Native Americans and raided a multinational corporation to vandalize their stock? Now the Bags praise the East India Tea Company and call them masters. They are effectively Loyalists/Royalists, but too stupid to know.

22. The Baggers are a well-funded SuckerPuppet creation of the 1%ers (R)
As the Baggers figure out how totally they have been Suckered by the FatCat PuppetMasters (R), they go back to their TVs and -- suck up more lies and spin from Fox Propaganda (R) and Rush DraftDodger Limbaugh (R) who rakes in $40 million a year in PuppetMaster (R) Payola to lie to the Baggers and other Suckers.

20. the media has done it's best to make them similar
But they aren't. One is astroturf (fake) and the other is truly grassroots (real)

The teabagger party were paid and bused in and financed and coached by Dick Armey and the Koch brothers.

OWS went out on their own, without any leadership or sponsors to Occupy Wall Street

The teabagger party went to their comfortable homes between trips to disrupt Democratic Town Hall meetings.

OWS are putting their bodies and ideals on the line by giving up the comfort of their homes and beds

The teabagger party was about outraged Sound and Fury Signifying Nothing.

OWS practices peaceful civil disobedience even in the face of hostile police violence.

The teabagger party spew hatred and division, espousing the death of people rather than give them healthcare

OWS wants fairness towards all people to be the underlying foundation of government

The teabagger party are so immersed in their hatred for Obama that they would destroy the country itself to see him lose

OWS claims they are not a political party and so far have proven it by staying out of politics.

The teabaggers love FOX News and hate mongers like Hannity and Limbaugh and Malkin and Coulter

OWS categorically rejects them, driving FOX celebrity 'journalists' out of their midst by calling them what they are. Liars.

I don't see any similarities at all.

21. They have. This article says that OAS eclipsed the Teaparty
Edited on Sun Oct-30-11 03:50 PM by sabrina 1
in Google searches on Oct 24th. That was just a week after the first protest on Sept. 17th.

Google Data: ‘Occupy Wall Street’ Now Tops ‘Tea Party’ In Recent Searches

Google’s “Politics and Elections Blog” released data on Thursday revealing some interesting statistics about the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street. Searches for Occupy Wall Street, according to Google’s Jake Parrillo, currently outpace Tea Party queries, but that’s expected, as it’s a buzzy topic. What Google uncovered, though, was that when both were gathering steam, OWS still outpaced Tea Party in search traffic during their respective early phases. And the blog pinpoints the exact moment when OWS took over the “most-searched” title from the Tea Party: September 24. Since then, OWS searches have far outpaced those for the Tea Party

3. When OWS gets people elected to the US Congress and holds the Dems feet to the fire
Then I will think they have eclipsed teabaggers. However I believe more people are marching in more cities across the country as OWS than ever did as TP.

8. MSM gave the teabaggers coverage like they were some kind of American heroes. MSM gives
OWS coverage like they're a bunch of scum bucking the corrupt godly system. So, I think, the casual American sees the teabaggers as good and OWS as radicals. I think that will change, certainly MSM is giving OWS better coverage now than in the beginning, but it will be an uphill battle IMO to get OWS into office in this corrupt country. That's just my opinion. No way will the corrupt money in this country ever back OWS. And the dems will try to co-opt OWS more and more as theirs, they will try to morph it into something else.

19. Yep!!! Agree!!! I don't claim to be an economist, but I just don't see how this
economy is going to continue to be propped up yet alone improve, and let alone create millions of jobs ... and all of the foreclosure nonsense that continues and continues. The growing poverty, etc., etc. It's crashing down on us. Sure, the stock market gets better, but for the majority of Americans that has no consequence ... It's a bad recipe all the way around IMO.

11. Republican congressmen are terrified of being primaried by the Tea Party
and tend to bend over backwards to kowtow to them.

I'm not yet seeing this with Democratic members of Congress and OWS.

12. Which is part two. Because OWS actually threatens the Royal money class (their masters)
OWS is basically on its own. Sure the corporate Dems will want to co-opt and use OWS, maybe domesticate it and defang it too, but they will be fighting to kill OWS behind its back.

18. I wonder, if eventually, OWS will need a face to lead it.
Because it's difficult for a large group of people to move quickly, with short notice. The only thing that might be in their favor in that regard, is twitter

Oh, and welcome to Du.
