Let's face it, if Cheney wants a heart transplant, they will find him one..... |
|
and take it away from someone who is in line in front of him. You KNOW they will break the rules to get this guy a donor heart. And someone might die because he decided to ask for a transplant. I am not a conspiracy nut, but you know strings are going to get pulled in this case.

If any of my organs get donated I obviously want it/them to go to the first match on the list, regardless of anything. But you should be allowed ONE exclusion, IMO.

I have no doubt that this evil piece of shit will go the same route as leaders in China, Saudi Arabia and other authoritarian countries have gone - they will whack a suitable donor. It might be a prisoner or even a guy off the street. They find a match and then kill the poor SOB and take his heart, liver, kidney or whatever they need.

Unless ofcourse you do have evidance that Cheney will get special treatment, then by all means, please do share it.

52. Read about Larry Hagman, Micky Mantle and Greg Allman.... |
|
Pennsylvania Governor Robert Casey, only 5 hours on the list. Most wait months. Hagman and Mantle, huge drinkers and immediately got a transplant. If you were a heavy drinker you would never get one. Can I prove it 100%? No. But enough evidence to question the process. Sorry, the process is not perfect like you would like it to be.

36. Actually a lot celebrities can and have jumped to the front of the transplant line |
|
Mickey Mantle was won, got a new liver just two days after being put on the national registry.
Not to mention the fact that those with money can get on to more organ waiting lists. Yes, there is more than one list, and if you have the money and resource to travel around the country and get put on multiple lists, then you are going to get your transplant sooner.
Like many other things in this world, if you are rich, you can game the system in your favor. I would be shocked if Cheney wasn't doing that right now.

44. What specific wait list guidelines did Mickey Mantle violate? |
|
I can't comment on how you get on multiple wait lists but since one of the guidelines is where in the country you live I can see how that could be possible. I would think those guidelines are set up that way for a reason, I could be wrong.

26. Because after the Giffords tragedy.... |
|
I find it just a bit hypocritical for people around here to be wishing death on this guy or suggesting that he is going to somehow cheat the system without any kind of evidance behind that claim.
When Cheney was in the hospital a few months back there was no shortage of people wishing death on him around here, the mods were perfectly fine with that, those posts were allowed to stay. Looks like not much has changed. Just imagine even the fraction of the shit being flung at cheney directed at Giffords, the person doing so would be banned instantly and called insane. But when it's Cheney, who the fuck cares. Right?

However, Obama is not helping the Democratic cause by being complicit in a cover-up. Especially since the information is bound to be leaked out eventually, making the Cheney to Obama Administration one of the darkest periods in American History.

in some cases expending on them (drone attacks, rendition, etc).
If you say Cheney is a war criminial then so is Obama. You can try to argue that he is a lesser war criminal but that's kind of a silly argument to be making, don't you think? A war criminal is a a war criminal, I don't think an international court would care to what degree.

No one (on DU or anywhere else) has the slightest cause to "fling shit" at Giffords, whereas Cheney richly deserves being flung at. Am I making the slightest bit of sense to you? No? Thought not.
