My RW Brother's views about the OWS are so crazy and hateful they stunned me |
|
I knew he was extreme, but damn! Is this what the Beck/Hanutty/Limbos are actually saying these days?
The Tea Party did it right. No fights, no mess, no altercations or arrests. In come the flea party, or pee party, which ever. Garbage, slobs, Jew haters, bums, scumbags. Some of them want to repeat the bolshevik revolution of 100 years ago in Russia.
Too bad that pesky old 2nd Amendment allows us to protect ourselves. They know this. Thats why the scumbags wont win. VOTE REPUBLICAN! 42 minutes ago · Like
I'm serious. If they thought they could get away with it they would over throw the Gov. Look at what these people are saying. They're blaming everything on Jews. david duke is endorsing them. If we could'nt protect ourselves we would be DEAD. If these people ever had a legit cause it has been co opted by Jew haters and commies.

To most Republican's, the ends justify the means. Most Republican's put party before country. Most Republican's are liars. Period.

It's hard to see my own flesh and blood as the worst of the wingnuts, but he is.:( I think he's making a fool of himself, but I was more measured in my response:
You're not going to persuade anyone to vote Republican with hateful propaganda and extreme views like that John.

A couple of weeks ago they informed me that George Soros was funding the whole thing by paying each protester $685.00 a week.

If they're off-the-rails now, it's beyond imagining the crazy-talk these hateful people will believe and spread when Obama gets re-elected. And yes, I believe he will.
I knew they'd go after Obama like they did Clinton, but they don't have any actual dirt. It drives them crazy, literally.

And it makes them feel superior. Doesn't matter a bit to them that they're completely wrong, it's called willful ignorance. It also slanders every person of Jewish ethnic and religious background who are out there with the rest, freezing. And you can bet there are plenty. In fact, a few dozen online videos hearing from them might be a good thing to counter the smear campaign. Meanwhile I found this: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/10/08/1024083/--OccupyYomKippur-%E2%80%93-Im-Absolutely-Speechless

Coming from a full family of right-wingers except for myself and one other cast-off cousin, hang in there...some people simply can't be reached, and his actions - while HE thinks they may speak for you - don't.

7. It's hard not to see why their party attracts the bigots. They shoot from the hip with |

assumptions & act on them.
They must feel awfully defenseless without resorting to name-calling & presumptuously attaching lame but vicious labels to people they've got to know are much smarter than they are.

|
Edited on Sun Oct-30-11 07:27 PM by dionysus
championed itself as a big supporter of the Jewish people, and started calling the left "Jew haters", or claiming the left doesn't support Israel? i wonder if it's a change of heart (not likely), if RW radio just told them to switch their position, and they're too dumb enough to not realize the switch (could be), or it's the rapture folks (could there be that many?), or if after 9/11 they saw Israel as an ally against teh muslins...

11. I'd say it is the religious right's influence. |
|
You see, they don't actually give a damn about Jewish people or Israel, in fact they actually strongly dislike Jewish people and blame them for Jesus's death. However, they support Israel, because they think the Jews have to live there for Jesus to return, at which point he will send them all to hell and take the fundies with him to heaven.

25. That's my mom too. I can hardly stand to talk to her lately. |
|
Her ugly rants about OWS are terrible. I try cutting her off on the phone and she just talks over me. She knows how much it pisses me off and she's just gleeful in her hatefulness. She's been told at least 5000 times to NOT discuss politics with me but she persists because she knows how much it gets under my skin. She enjoys needling me and when I hang up on her when she gets too vitriolic she calls all my sisters and tells them how intolerant and bigoted I am for not hearing HER side of the story.... Fucking irrational.
It's so hard to love our Rethug relatives. I'm really sorry Sugarcoated, I know exactly how you feel....

30. unfortunately in the world of Fox News and hate radio they believe that they are right |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-31-11 05:05 PM by Douglas Carpenter
In the old days when the corporate media was still the corporate media - but not distinctly rabidly partisan they would be forced to hear at least a little bit of non-rabidly partisan reporting. Now they are as insular as someone who relied only on the old Radio Albania for their information. They simply don't know a lot of things that a person who at least listens to mainstream corporate media - ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN would know - much less those who have information sources which reach beyond the msm.
I recall my Aunt Betty who is a very nice person but unfortunately also a right-wing fundamentalist once saying to me very matter of factly - as if she was stating something obvious that everyone already knows that she worries about the country under Obama because whenever our country turns away from the Biblical values that our nation was founded on and made us the greatest nation on earth - we get into a lot of trouble. She actually said this in a tone of total and absolute innocence as if she was stating a self-evident truth. I couldn't imagine which point to argue about first. She had been completely and totally indoctrinated. It doesn't mean that she is personally an evil person. In fact she is on the personal level a kindly, compassionate and tolerant person - but so misinformed.
