Cheney says he may have to have heart transplant
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/01/18/AR2011011801299.html

WASHINGTON -- Former Vice President Dick Cheney says he believes he'll have to make a decision on whether to have a heart transplant given his medical history.

Cheney tells NBC in an interview that he's getting by now on a battery-powered heart pump, which makes it "awkward to walk around." He also says he hasn't made a decision yet on a transplant, but adds that "the technology is getting better and better."

Cheney tells the network in an interview, "I'll have to make a decision at some point whether I want to go for a transplant."

On another matter, Cheney complimented President Barack Obama on his handling of the Tucson shooting rampage. Cheney says, "I'm not an Obama supporter by nature, but I thought it was one of his better efforts."

I guess real national heroes jump to the top of the line for their transplants!
:sarcasm:

16. Nope none at all, and I'm sure that Cheney,
since he is such a wonderful and caring human being will take his place in line just like everyone else....

   Are you fucking kidding? With the health problems this guy has had and his age he shouldn't even be in the running for a fucking transplant. Sorry if his artificial pump is an inconvenience...

4. Um, shouldn't a heart transplant be a necessity rather than a choice?
He's "deciding" whether to have one? Sounds like there might be plenty of people who need it more, then.

If there was, a bolt of lightning would surely come from the sky and hit that battery pack.
