Locally there is a good (not valid) reason my former police chief, now Meyer, is putting his cops at risk. You see, first they don't get this, it could be green men from mars. This is a clear threat from dirty DEMOCRATS. My "city fathers" have been concerned about this for a few years now. Them dirty dems are more and more and more. And the mostly white power elite can't have that.

Realize this was a place that in the 1920 s and 1930s had a pretty separate but equal educational system with them wetbacks. (I am paraphrasing primary sources in the history of lemon grove, and wetback is in there...it was the equivalent of negro). In fact kids were punished for speaking Spanish. This is one of the real reasons we don't do immersion language of any type here. This is the origin of the propaganda that kids (wetbacks was the subtext) could not learn two languages. So if you ever asked where it came from, look at San Diego and LA counties for that one.

So this occupy is bringing them DEMOCRATS (not really) out...and attracting those invisible people...I mean what's next? Living wage and low income housing? Stamp it now before this spreads.

My city fathers should shut up, get over the icky factor ( dirty people, they smell, and some do) and fracking listen. These are not democrats or for that matter republicans. What they want is justice, economic justice. And that is hard to wrap your head around.

Oh and how is he putting them at risk? Less units for backup for real crime...the plaza is serial free speech...hardly a crime.
