Republicans: Women make this stuff up, to gain vengeance etc.
Edited on Mon Oct-31-11 11:49 AM by WingDinger
To believe that women of some worth and stature, would risk that for slight concurrent personal gain, to smear political opponents or bosses, is insane. This vein should be probed. It is not the Dems that would be charging Cain with sexual harrassment. And how would the Dems KNOW that Cain would run for president? It is a little like Obama's mamma sneaking her baby into america, so that he can run for pres. Farfetched. Crackpot.

What this says about women in general, is akin to the Beliefs of Italy. Women have too much sexual power, and must be threatened/trained not to wield it. Or they are evil. This is the result of making women incubators and maddonna/prostitutes.

Should women be blamed for not going the distance to public judgement, on shameful personal matters that will see them blackballed, or at least dragged thru the mud? Should those wielding financial and political power be able to squelch bad press with bribery?

I have some personal experience with this. I almost had to testify against a boss that grabbed a coworkers shorts late at night twice, after warning he would, ripping them and causing a torsion hernia to his testicles. They fired him for leaving the premises directly after. Then, they concocted that he was insane. I can tell you that the blackball repercussions of this will make ANYONE think twice about going forward.

The Republicans should be asked point blank whether the decision to prosecute a sexual harrasser is some kind of game to these women, or a principled stand? And to explain that in detail.

1. Republicans are caught in the madonna/whore syndrome
when it comes to women. They really are incapable of treating women as equals.

10. Not so much madonna/whore as Daddy Knows Best
In Republican world, women are these silly, flighty, dangerous creatures, alternately too stupid to respirate regularly and so cunning that they're always looking to bring down one of their rightful overlords. It sometimes falls into the madonna/whore dichotomy, but more often it's a case of Republican men wanting to control women and order their lives to their liking. It's a tough world for Republicans, because women keep doing stuff like thinking for themselves, and making their own choices about how to live their lives. Like men, sometimes they make brilliant choices, sometimes they make bad choices. But the problem is that they're making choices without input from Republicans, and that just doesn't sit well with our Republican friends.

2. It's as if the Clarence Thomas hearings never happened ... maybe that isn't the right analogy --
isn't this the kind of mess that can be picked apart ad infinitum? It makes me very, very tired.

As a woman, I've had some experience in this matter myself. At the age of 30, I decided *screw it,*
and have sported an androgenous look ever since.

6. The timeline of those was suspect. These are organic. So were the powers that convinced them to act.

9. Most definitely this is a being generated from one of the other campaigns.
Maybe Romney? Why would the Democrats get involved with this now? It would obviously be something that would play in the GE, but I see no reason why Democrats would be digging dirt up on Cail at this point. Hell, I'm sure they'd suppress it at this point in time if they knew about it.

This is definitely a GOP hit...Cain is a threat to upset the establishment candidate and they want to neutralize him ASAP to stop Cain from gaining any momentum with the primary voters in the Party.

12. Yep... I suspect the same was done to Howard Dean.
Romney is the establishment-approved candidate. It's either his campaign, the RNC, or 'outside' interests.

13. Had it been a mandingo warrior moment, his campaign would have formulated a ready response.
That they did not, is pseudoproof that there is more to the story.
