Customers have been hearing the CEO of DTV tell us that News Corp has notified DTV that they are looking at a 40% markup in the profits for the Fox channels, including the cable, regular and film channels. DTV is renegotiating, but is letting their customers know that there is a possibility that FX, and other Fox cable networks might be removed from the lineup.
I don't know--I think it might be a better lineup if they would remove Faux News from it--perhaps the IQ of the average DTV customer would increase if they DID remove it.

5. They want services to pay through the nose for the good channels |
|
to subsidize the propaganda channel, which is not in danger of moving. I find this completely repellent since those increased fees will get passed on to me. NO THANKS.
It's fun to watch the Pox propaganda commercials, too. I did email Direct and let them know I don't want to pay extra for the one channel I watch with any regularity, National Geographic. I suggested the ghettoize Pox News along with the other channels as a premium subscription package the way they do the HBO and Cinemax channels. That way the sports nuts can pay for Pox Sports and the rest of us won't be forced to support Pox News.

7. Wow, if they don't have Fox "Nooz" or Fox "Biz" it's a great reason to switch to DirecTV. nt |

But they have an agreement. Wonder how much more it will cost us to not watch Fox.

12. This is the norm for Dish Network customers. Last year they actually did pull the plug on some fox |
|
channels. Unfortunately Fox "News" was not one of them. Within a couple of weeks they sorted it out and restored the channels. The only one I really gave a shit about was National Geographic Channel.
