Bulldozers, rubber bullets, tear gas and armed police.
What is the 1 percent so afraid of.

Peaceful protesters? This makes no sense.

You would think that this is the Middle East, nope this is Middle America and beyond.

I always knew I was on the right side of history. The violence against the middle class and poor is my proof.

2. Like I've said before
"What the hell did the Tea Baggers ever risk for their beliefs"?

These OWS Protesters are risking arrest, injury, civil charges, fines, lost wages and more for what they believe in.

These OWS Protesters have more in common with the Founding Fathers than any Tea Bagger could dream of...no matter how many 3-Corner hats they dress up in.

Makes you almost think that the entire Tea Bagger movement was contrived, financed and backed by the 1%. The powers that be and the media paved the way for the Tea Baggers like Moses parting the Sea.

Funny analogy, eh? They put the bulldozers in front of the Tea Baggers, but turn them on OWS.

9. your analogy would make a good
pictorial cartoon. Kind of puts that thought of how they protected the baggers and turn on us into a nice little package.

4. "What is the 1%er afraid of?"
Edited on Mon Oct-31-11 09:15 PM by Fire Walk With Me
Accountability. Obsolescence. Powerlessness. Having no outlet for their drive to kontrol and destroy and mock. Fear of being done to them, what they do to others.

Edit: That's only for those who have emotions and some level of consciousness or conscience. Capitalism has been breeding equal-opportunity predators for decades...

And no, I don't lump all the rich in with this.

6. When I read you title I wondered, "what strikes such fear into the police across the nation?"
Because they are afraid.

This may well be a pivotal moment in American history, one where we either begin to take back this nation or watch is slide into a type of apartheid where a minority controls the country.

10. My husband made the comment "why do they care so much - they're not doing anything but sitting
in the park". Meaning why do the police care so much? They care because their bosses are on their asses about it - and their bosses are the 1%. They realize than any resistance can grow and they will be determined to squash it before it gets to that point.

11. There was an OP up by a DUer whose father was a cop..
He said riot duty was one of his dad's favorite gigs, he got to bust heads all around with almost no chance of being called on the carpet for it.
