Poll question: Which Opponent Leaked the Cain Sexual Harassment Story to Politico?
Has anyone figured out which opponent research team leaked this to Politico?

If not, who do you think it was and why?

5. Rove on behalf of Romney
Edited on Tue Nov-01-11 02:09 AM by DFLforever
Bachmann knocked out Palin $ Pawlenty.
Perry Knocked out Bachmann.
Rove & co.took down Perry
And now Cain.

They need Romney to wrap this up as soon as possible. Every month this circus continues weakens the GOP and strengthens Pres Obama.

Independents are already spooked by the spectacle. Many think the GOP have gone nuts.

6. Rove. And if not Rove, then it could have been one of the 'two women' involved
Edited on Tue Nov-01-11 02:45 AM by Tx4obama
that contacted Politico.com anonymously to tip them off.

OR it could have been 'anyone' at had been at the Restaurant Association, at the time of incident, that knew of the 'hush-money agreement'.

Edited to add...
Or it could have even have been a 'secretary' that had typed up the settlement agreement - or had seen the agreement in a file in the file room.
Long ago I worked 'somewhere' - I covered the desk of a legal secretary that worked for the head attorney of a very prestigious law firm - I saw a whole bunch of 'secrets' that no one else in the office knew about.

All it takes is 'one' person to leak a secret.

8. I (just guessing) think it was a private citizen who knew about the two cases and hates Herman Cain
possibly for purely personal reasons. Obviously there has to be any number of private individuals who knew about this case. In all probability at least some of the people who knew about his case despise Herman Cain and cannot stand the thought of him leading in the polls for the GOP nomination - After some pondering - one of these private citizens decided to share this information with someone who could and would get the story out.

10. Usually settlements come with a gag in this type of case... of course
it could be someone else with an axe to grind from the restaurant association...

15. is spite of gag orders there still had to have been any number of office people as well as friends
acquaintances, family and relatives of the accusers who would have heard about the story before any settlement was established. So, all in all - there would have had to have been a minimum of a couple dozen people who knew about it. Out of that couple dozen - no doubt some of them would have been people who have no love for Herman Cain. It would have been just a matter of time - before someone told the story to someone either in the media or with contacts with people in the media. Any scandal about any major candidate for President is bound to come out sooner or later - if there is a handful of people who know.

16. Absolutely correct!
This is typical Texas politics here. The handiwork of people like KKKarl Rove acolytes. Perry and his people will do this is a fleeting moment and I have my strong suspicion that they are the ones who are behind this.
