Edit to add that this is a general message for all of us; no doubt I'm guilty, so I offer this message as well, but it's a general offering, not a personal apology. :)


Tensions are high. We all have reasons to feel attacked and to want to lash out at others at times.

But one thing OWS and 99% have shown us is that we're all in this together. The fact that it went global shows us this truth.

So, rather than always having an offensive or defensive stance when interacting, maybe we can truly try to hear what the other person is saying and ask questions calmly, and not assume the worst of one another.

It's the combative nature so many of us have towards one another -- when we're essentially on the same side -- that is troubling and often self-defeating.

The Occupy Movement is a wonderful manifestation of joining together, and focusing on what we have in common more than our differences.
