OCCUPY OAKLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY CALLS FOR OCCUPYING FORECLOSED AND ABANDONED PROPERTIES
holy cow....

OCCUPY OAKLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY CALLS FOR OCCUPYING FORECLOSED AND ABANDONED PROPERTIES | Last night, the Oakland General Assembly — the democratic decision-making body of the various occupations around the country — passed a proposal calling on activists to occupy bank-owned, foreclosed, and abandoned properties across the city. Here’s the announcement of the proposal passing on Twitter:

1. spreading out,
maybe dangerous because there's less people at each place when the cops show up?

or it could be a brilliant move, too many occupiers spread far & wide for them to crack down on...?

3. It's intensifying.
What a bold statement. Directly connects Wall St. greed (with the help of govt) to foreclosures. It thrills me to pieces to know that people "get it."

4. Good idea...it will also highlight how bad the foreclosure problem is...
some people (politicians) don't seem to have grasped that yet.

7. That's some guts!
However, I doubt banks & cops would allow adverse possession to happen.

9. Occupy Oakland will ensure that Occupy Wall Street is out of the news
And that the whole Occupy * thing is just some nutty California phenomenon.

10. I hope we will only be occupying the outside of the house
as I am not sure breaking and entering is going to be a positive step for the movement.
