I'm curious - I think OWS help to get BoA to drop their fees. What has the Tea Party every done...
that helped benefit Americans?

OWS was pushing for people to leave banks and go to Credit Unions and was pretty vocal about these charges. In the end just about every major bank has dropped the charges with the last holdout, Bank of America, dropping theirs today.

So I'm curious - what kind of positive change has the Tea Party ever done that benefit the 99%?

4. And you don't think that OWS help to inspire this?
Making people aware of options other than the big banks.

5. Read about Molly Katchpole. (edit)

She never says anything about OWS. In fact, she said it's not related.

Also, she mostly blames the politicians for the current situation. OWS doesn't seem to care much about that.

7. Bank Transfer Day
Not even in the same ballpark as OWS...

While the Bank Transfer Day movement acknowledges the enthusiasm from Occupy Wall Street, the Bank Transfer Day movement was neither inspired by, derived from nor organized by the Occupy Wall Street movement, and the Bank Transfer Day movement does not endorse any activities conducted by Occupy Wall Street.

Who's Behind This?
by Bank Transfer Day on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:15pm

The event was created by Kristen Christian, a private citizen and small business owner with no affiliations to Anonymous or Occupy Wall Street. While she's now a proud member of Coast Hills Credit Union (based in Lompoc, CA) and Los Angeles Federal Credit Union, she's not a credit union employee. She's received no public or private donations for her efforts or costs associated with this movement. Every bit of work on BTD is a testament to her love for her community & neighbors. She genuinely believes we can pull ourselves out of this economic mess the big banks caused by investing in local not-for-profit credit unions.

3. they would argue that they have gotten several congressmen elected
and that has, indeed, had an impact on today's politics.

What we consider "positive" and what they consider "positive" do not necessarily coincide.

So, if your question is, what have teabaggers done to help our causes, the answer is nada. To help their own causes, however, they have been somewhat successful.

8. Other than obstruction...
What has that group of Congress done? I can't think of one bill... all I can remember is obstruction.

11. they would consider their primary contribution to be disciplined fiscal responsibility
however . . .

Sandy Adams did introduce a key bill to prevent the misuse of foreign law in federal courts, and
Scott Brown was the co-author of key legislation - something to do with New England fisheries, and
Rand Paul introduced a bill to transfer beautification dollars to key infrastructure projects.

Busy little beavers . . . imo.

(do I really need the sarcasm thingie . . . )

the banks will absolutely charge this fee later when they can & will do it under the radar (when people occupied with something else).

BUT NO ONE SHOULD BE BANKING WITH THE HUGE MULTI-NATIONAL BANKS IN THE FIRST PLACE!
