Twin Rivers police association apologize for controversial t-shirt

SACRAMENTO, CA - The Twin Rivers Police Officers Association sent out an apology Monday in regards to a controversial t-shirt the association was selling a year ago to help raise money for families of fallen officers.

The t-shirt, which was created two years ago, depicts a child behind bars with the words "U raise 'em, We cage 'em."

"We regret our mistake, take full responsibility and sincerely apologize to our community, the school district, our law enforcement partners and associations and the members of the Twin Rivers Police Department," association President Arlin Kocher said in the apology.

Kocher said the association has stopped selling the t-shirt a year ago.

2. Whats really twisted about that one:
"Detective Nick Rogers, a member of the Police Protective Association board, said police often issue T-shirts to commemorate big events."
