1. "People's History" is truly one of the greatest works of the 20th Century.
R.I.P. Dr. Zinn.

6. Just tonight partner and I talking with son about Howard Zinn
Saying that the real history of the US is not taught in schools and I said that every young person should read Howard Zinn's People's Histry of the United States. One of my all time favorite book and he is a great hero for his lifetime of work.

12. Did you know Howard?

He was one of the really nicest, most personally interested professors I ever had. It made BU seem like a bargain. Most of the rest of it was only so-so, but Howard made it fun and worth every moment. You were always aware of being part of history in Prof. Zinn's class, and how important each and every individual really is to the successful outcome for the rest of humanity.

That was an important lesson I came away with.

18. No, I didn't know him. And I can't believe I never managed
to get out to meet him before he died. But he was so much on the right side of things, you knew that whatever response he had to a situation was going to be valuable.

10. I wasn't familiar with his work
until it was mentioned in the movie: Good Will Hunting:

Anyone know what language that is in the subtitles?

15. The subtitles look like Korean characters.
Another K&R for the brilliant Howard Zinn.

17. Thank you both for your replies.
Though a bit far-fetched, wouldn't it be something if some of the North Koreans were starting to catch the drift of Howard Zinn? (Assuming of course, that this is Korean?)
