Market Watch is Reporting That Occupy Wall Street is 99% dead
So...if we didn't matter, why report on it at all? They are attempting to dismiss us. A big gamble on this reporter's part, given the weather. Are we on the way out? No f&ck^n way! We're here, and we are the 99%. Suck on that for a while.

We must do whatever we can to support the protesters.

Occupy Wall Street is 99% dead.

"In the first phase of Occupy Wall Street, journalists were dazzled by the spirit and the anger of the participants. For a brief, flickering moment, the idea of rallying as an economically aggrieved 99% of the population had terrific potential.

Reporters trekked to Zuccotti Park to observe the latest link in the chain, advancing from the anti-Vietnam protests of the ‘60s and ‘70s to the anti-nuclear power demonstrations that followed it.

Now we’re seeing the lamentable second wave of the Occupy Wall Street story. The spirit has been muffled by people who want to cash in on the popularity of Occupy Wall Street and exploit the participants’ idealism.

Sure, the crowds of supporters and sympathizers will continue to gather at Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan, the starting point for what became a global movement. And yes, similar groups will congregate elsewhere around the world. You can be sure that this news story will rank prominently in those year-end retrospective pieces highlighting 2011..."

that is silent and deadly.

Series, his question at the end of his gibberish - 'MEDIA WEB QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you think Occupy Wall Street’s moment in the sun has passed or am I being shortsighted?' Shortsighted? I would say he is hoping like hell it just goes away...sadly for that cocky grin, no. No one is leaving and it will just get bigger and bigger.

7. Plus there are all kinds of other ways to civilly protest.
Even the act of moving one's money from a bank to a credit union makes a statement that they notice.

5. Nonsense. The anger and disgust are just changing in expression
and focus. The movement is actually widening. It is becoming less narrow.

6. He wishes!
Not only not dead, but growing. The Longshoremen's Union are now supporting OWS, and the AFL-CIO are on board. Each day more and more people join the movement, they will not all be on the street at the same time but for every one who is, there are thousands who are supporting him/her.

Poor guy, his worst nightmare has come true. The people are waking up.

And btw, when was the media fascinated with the energy of OWS? The media deliberately ignored them hoping they would go away, then when they didn't they tried to discredit them. The guy is dreaming.

13. Sounds like he only understands reality through what he sees, or doesn't see, on TV
Turn off the TV, get off your lazy ass, and go outside to see what's really going on.
