Christian College In Georgia Forces Staff To Sign Pledge Against Homosexuality Or Be Terminated

More pledges, more discrimination, more religious extremism, and more hate. That’s what a college in Georgia is adopting as a new policy designed to purify the staff.

In Rome, Georgia, Shorter University is forcing school staff to sign a “Personal Lifestyle Statement” pledge against homosexuality, pre-marital sex, and alcohol or be fired. University president Don Dowless wants to institute his own twisted interpretation of Biblical principles in the school and he wants his 200 staff members to comply with what he considers Biblical law. In an interview with a local reporter, Dowless said,

“I think that anybody who adheres to a lifestyle that is outside of what the biblical mandate is and of what the board has passed, including the president, would not be allowed to continue here. Anything outside that is not biblical, we do not accept. We have a right to hire only Christians.”

3. The uniforms may be for the marching band, not the whole student body,
not that it matters. Any school identifying itself as "Baptist" is probably not the most open-minded place to study.

12. Those ARE band uniforms, but I think they're batshit enough to make them general.
They ARE band uniforms, though. Pretty good ones, actually.
