and for the pundits.. $35K was NOT chump change..these events happened in the '90's.. a $35K salary for a woman back then was not all that bad of a salary, and these two women (two that we KNOW of) were obviously NOT executives..and depending on the state they were in, that was not all that bad of a salary.

Ever since this broke, I have wondered how long they kept ole Herm around once he crossed that line..

1. It looks like he served from 1996 to 1999.
I wonder if there were any incidents when he was on the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City?

Cain was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association in 1988. In 1994 to 1995, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. While leading this association, he developed the organization into a pro-business voice via national debates and speeches concerning health care reform, employment policies, and taxation.

Following this experience, he was appointed to serve on the Economic Growth and Tax Reform Commission in addition to serving as Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He then became a senior advisor to the 1996 Dole/Kemp campaign for the Presidency. Herman Cain continued the responsibilities of President and Chairman of Godfather's Pizza, Incorporated, while beginning a second career delivering national keynote speeches. Using his messages as the foundation, he created his own leadership consulting company, The THE New Voice, Inc. THE New Voice packages his speaking and develops his products, including books, DVDs, CDs of gospel music, and promotes his keynote speeches. He has authored four books to date on topics ranging from leadership to self-empowerment including Leadership is Common Sense and CEO of Self.

In 1996, Cain became CEO and President of the National Restaurant Association. He had been a member of the NRA Board since 1988, and had served as its elected volunteer chairman in 1994/1995. Cain thus became the only volunteer chairman to become the full-time CEO and President of the Association while still a member of the Board. Cain headed the NRA in this position for two and a half years.

7. Must have been the half year. You aren't named to a board for half a year.
So, he either had a pressing reason to step down or something else cut it short by six months.

the "events" had to have happened in 94-95 because that was when he was chairman of the board..It looks like he was still around for 3 more years, but not as chairman..and during that time he was eagerly branching out..

I also wonder about the ages of the women, at the time..

6. He's not :"taking questions about that anymore"
and if the media follows their usual route, they will just stop asking.. remember how deftly George W got away with that?

Dems are the only ones who routinely lay it all out..
