In a movie which was also very intense. The books was too. It was crushingly intense. When I finished the book I threw it across the room because the ending was something I just didn't want to see.

But that last bit where Ma and Pa are driving away from their boy pretty much forever and that speech Ma gives about women being like a stream... that always gets me, the way she really identifies the difference between men and women...
