8. Where did Cain get the $40MM to purchase Grandfathers?

There was a link in the 9/11 Dungeon to a blog post at Down with Tyranny! that asks the question and provides some very interesting speculation that ties Cain to Lawrence King (of Franklin Savings notoriety). There was an accounting scandal where King/Franklin savings couldn't account for approx.$40MM from the bank at about the same time Cain and a group of investors bought the franchise from Pillsbury for the same amount of money. Could be BS, but both guys were prominent black Republicans in Omaha at that time, so it makes for an interesting connection that a real investigative reporter might want to explore.
