City officials say they’re cutting power to outlets in the downtown Baltimore park where Wall Street protesters have been living for the last month.

Mayoral spokesman Ian Brennan said Wednesday that the city is taking this step to alleviate a public safety hazard at McKeldin Square near the Inner Harbor. He says a city official visited earlier this week and found fire and electrocution hazards.

Brennan says the outlets were installed so permitted groups could use electricity, but Occupy Baltimore protesters do not have a permit. He says the group is welcome to continue its protest, but the park is not meant to be a camp site.

3. Gas powered generators will be confiscated as a safety hazard..
One of the reasons OWS is going to pedal powered generators to run their protest site.

WTF ever said it was a camp site??? Do they think these people are on vacation? Does this seem like a Spring Break frat party to them? Just who are these idiots to suggest its a camp out, like as if it was for boy scouts???

9. Would you interpret the 2nd Amendment similarly?
Anyone can own and carry any kind of firearms they want with no permit required? Didn't think so.

All of our civil rights are subject to reasonable restrictions and a prohibition on camping or living in a public park does not seem unreasonable to me. In any case, show me where it says that protesters are entitled to free electricity.
