‘Assange’s time in Sweden will be short’
Edited on Wed Nov-02-11 09:08 PM by Mosaic
Stockholm will only host the WikiLeaks founder for as long as it takes to send him on to a US court, said liberty campaigner Paul Wiffen after British judges confirmed their ruling to extradite Julian Assange to Sweden.

Assange’s lawyers now have 14 days to seek permission from the British High Court to appeal its decision of extradition in the Supreme Court. They will have to prove this case has a strong bearing on public interest.

At the moment, however, the probability of Assange being sent to Sweden is very high, says liberty campaigner Wiffen. The European Arrest Warrant issued against Julian Assange gives little space for legal maneuver as even insufficient evidence against a person cannot prevent his extradition.

I can't believe this is happening, I never thought it would.

1. Wasn't Wikileaks supposed to release "the key" if this happened?

4. I don't think Anonymous and OWS are going to be too pleased with this
This is a deliberate attempt to shut someone up for leaking embarrassing memos. If Sweden only extradites him to the US then this is all a blatant charade to pander to the US. It's disgusting to even think about.

6. This is merely a symptom of a worldwide fascism in metamorphoses
Things will likely get much worse before they get better; assuming they do get better.

Telling the truth will become more and more criminalized the more truth conflicts with secrets best left quiet and profitable in the eyes of the global owners.

Freedoms such as privacy, personal secrets and communications will become more and more the property of our owners to steal and use against us without warrant or legal justification.

Free speech will soon be made nearly impossible, and for all practical purposes illegal, save for token controlled speech that is spun by our owners media. This will happen when/if the OWS movement is defeated in order to avoid it from happening again.

If we are not defeated at OWS and generalized strikes, this fate may in the end be avoided.
