being brutalized by police (along with the primary reason, being insanely busy with deadline at work) that kept me from getting my butt over there, across the Bay Bridge, for days (if not weeks).

We are witnessing the beginning of a catastrophe, not the vernacular sense as a disaster but in the mathematical sense, an event whose outcome is impossible to predict at all, the butterfly effect. Small actions can have great consequences, one tear gas canister aimed at a young veteran galvanized a response that I suspect has shocked TPTB, their silence on it speaks far more loudly than any words they might say.
