Woman finds burglars in home, blocks getaway car

HOUSTON - Houston police arrested three people in connection with a home burglary after the homeowner trapped the burglars' getaway car in her driveway.

The woman told KPRC Local 2 that she know something was wrong when she came home Tuesday and saw a Ford Explorer backed up to her house near Kirkwood Road and Briar Forrest Drive in southwest Houston.

While she was at Bible study, she said the burglars busted in her front door, broke the glass and destroyed the frame. She said they also ripped her TV off of the wall.

"I laid on my horn and rolled the window down and screamed that the police are coming and I called 911," she said. "And, I blocked their car in the driveway."

Why didn't she let the police sneak up on them? IMHO she made it harder to catch them, but all's well that ends well.
