Texas Judge under investigation for beating cerebral palsy daughter - video online

Apparently this Texas Judge beats his disabled daughter with a belt. She has (from my understanding in reading the article in Spanish - from El Pais) cerebral palsy, however, she set up a camera and this got recorded one day a few years ago, when her father beat the crap out of her, and another woman in the background was egging him on.

This is the typical Republican, with the typical punitive Republican view of life, and the typical way they exist on the planet to do only harm.

1. When Republicans say 'family values' this is literally what they're talking about
We tend to think of family values as family unity and tender loving parenting instilling values in our children, but this isn't what Republicans think. They think the father is the head of the family and the mother 'submits' and the children are disciplined so they don't become something akin to liberals, which everyone knows children tend to be by claiming equality and 'entitlements' and fairness. No. The family structure is that the father sets the law and enforces it. And added to that, in Uber Christian households beating a child who is such a sinner that it has brought on the wrath of God to the point that she is made sick is what will save that father from everlasting hell and damnation.

This judge probably thinks the illness of his daughter was God testing him.

Remember that sparing the rod spoils the child.

6. Or maybe not. Maybe she will get help, now that the cat is out of the bag...
Sad is when someone is tortured this way, and no one ever finds out about it, so the child never gets any sort of help or treatment.

7. Or maybe not
I think it's those who never are reached, and never receive help. Those who suffer these things in silence, and no one ever reaches out. In this case, the cat is out of the bag. She will be offered help, and she definitely needs it, since she's disabled.

3. Hey, c'mon, pay attention: this is a TEXAS judge!
Normal judicial behavior here. The only unusual thing is that it didn't actually happen in the courtroom. ;-)

8. I try to have respect for Texas, but all I end up with, is feeling sorry for the libs that live
in Texas. :( I have met a couple of wonderful libs from there. Too bad Repukes have tainted Texas and its name. Same sh*t in Florida, where I live. It's an okay state, but here, too, Repukes have turned it to sh*t and its reputation is garbage.
