organization from personal experience?

Would you recommend it to other unemployed?

Do you think it's a successful program?

3. It's been mentioned here at DU a number of times ... trying to find out about it ....

My son is unemployed and wondering what anyone who might have joined it

thinks about how it's going?

As to why uniting the unemployed is important, imo -- ?

Happened to read this link about FDR and Social Security the other day and

obviously it was the unemployed getting united that gave a big push to it!

They seem rather small so far, couldn't tell me about a group 10 miles up the road from my zip code.... but moveon.org was once very small too.

Did you happen to look at the link re FDR and pressure of the unemployed I posted

One of the reasons this so interests me is because long, long ago when I started

actively campaigning for Democrats, it was one of the first things I saw was needed --

but it was in regard to unionizing/uniting welfare mothers. As soon as I mentioned

it, everyone swooned! Obviously they all knew the necessity for it -- but no Dems

were doing it. Presumably, I was to go off alone to do this? Of course, this was

prior to the internet and e-mail addresses! Now, much easier.

But, obviously the right wing/elites are united every which way -- up, sideways,

and down -- and Americans are "divided" by the elites in every way possible --

by gender, by color, by ethnic group -- by income -- on and on.

We're also controlled by their hierarchies -- every which way.

So don't think we're going anywhere until we begin to unite --

Good luck with this -- think it has great potential!!
