I needed an attachment head for the end of a small Shop-Vac hose. Tell me where to get one of those Made in USA. I can remember purchasing a similar one several years ago and it was like a buck or two. Now the same thing is 6 bucks and change.

Lesson learned. Once someone corners the market in anything they can charge whatever the hell they want for it. They are the only game in town now.

Anyone else beginning to notice this happening?

3. Yes
I just bought a two pack of BPA free Rubbermaid bottles to take some tea with my lunch. I had bought a couple of similar ones years ago for about $1 each. I think they were made in the US. Anyway the two pack was $8.47 and says on the bottom "designed in the USA, Made in Malaysia"

4. Wages are Rising in China
The exchange rate is not quite as favorable as it was. Also, a lot of retailers seem to be trying to improve profits by raising prices on secondary items. Probably a combination of things.

5. Perhaps we'll both be better off if Chinese people are paid a fair wage. nt

6. Exposing the lie, once again, that outsourcing keeps prices low.
All it does it boost profits. That's it.
