Obama in dreamland?
Doesn't it seem to you to be odd behavior for our president to be in europe helping them with their economic problems when we have so many hungry and homeless people right here at home?

3. WTF? Europe's economy is all tied up with ours.
If Europe's economy tanks ours will get even worse than it already is. It is very important for Obama to be involved in this.

11. That's what they tell us
If their crops fail will it kill ours?
We don't export much so losing some customers there shouldn't hurt.
If their markets fail will it hurt wall street? How will that hurt the 99% ?
Can you point to a time when european economic problems hurt the 99% ?

5. No. If the Eurozone goes down
the global economy will go down.

This is as big, if not bigger, than the 2008 crisis.

20. It's something like "fantasyland "
It's where people go sometimes when they just can't handle life's real problems.

is hardly a fantasyland.

7. I guess all the world leaders need to be there but ours!
Maybe Obama should never go anywhere because people question what he's doing.

But when the hell does the right stop questioning anything Obama does?

12. The world leaders meet at the G-20 conference twice a year.
It is one of duties/responsibilities of the US president to attend.

Will they pledge to reign in the out of control banks and
brokers, demand the tax increases that are needed on the more wealthy??

Or will try to prop up the banks again.........??

18. Because a Greek economic crisis could easily eliminate the 99% life savings.
I know, it sucks. I'm not a huge fan of the idea but I didn't set up the system. Besides, as POTUS he is more than obligated to attend these meetings.

21. I doubt that there are many who have their savings tied up in the market.
If would seem prudent to get them out of there if you can. Even if you take a loss.

23. The solutions need to be global, like the Tobin Tax
(or Robin Hood tax).

The reality is that banks and corporations are transnational now, no one country can regulate them completely, so international consensus is needed to reach lasting solutions.

26. Obama on the job
It is better to have Obama over in Europe than having W cutting brush in Texas. The GOP made an ass of itself when they complained that Obama took vacation time. In today's world he can function as president anywhere he is.

27. Obama is utterly bereft of ideas of how to help the US economy. "Free trade" and tax cuts ain't it.
