Making the Ohio labor fight all about Obama
This mailer, which was dropped in Ohio by the conserative group Alliance for America’s Future, perfectly captures how large the stakes are in the Ohio labor fight for unions and national conservatives alike.

The mailer ties the battle directly to Obama by arguing that a NO vote on the two referenda on the ballot would make liberals cheer and give Obama momentum. Though the mailer references the two measures on the ballot, the one that really matters and has far reaching national implications is Issue 2. It would affirm Governor John Kasich’s law rolling back the public employee bargaining rights — and it has emerged as the central front for national conservatives in their quest to break labor’s back in the middle of the industrial heartland.

1. The protesters in Wisconsin and Ohio (along with the PL) are crying that Obama is NOT involved
and wonder why he won't get involved in these protests.

Your OP is precisely why!! It becomes about Obama and not about the spirit of the movement.

Thanks!

2. Some would have expected the self-described" "warrior for the working class" to get involved.

9. Right. It's better for him to party with his pals on Wall Street.

4. And some would make up something to be outraged about if he did get involved.
And some will look at everything the President does like a two sided coin. And they will spin whichever side the coin lands into a hand wringing outrage. I have to wonder about some who would spend a few years doing just that without making a single positive comment about a Democratic President. Agenda much?

6. Every single thing has become so politicized that his presence would have
done more damage. I don't see what's so hard to understand about that.

8. BULLSHIT!! They've hated him from the beginning despite the rhetoric
coming from the wingnuts. Again, for ANY so-called liberal or Democrat to fall into the same trap. Easy to blame Obama because it's easier to oversimplify a complex governing process. But absolving the Corporate Media? Now that's pathetic!!
