I fired three, count 'em, THREE banks today
I had a Visa card from Credit One Bank, a Mastercard from Merrick Bank, and both a V and a MC from Crapital One. All had annual fees and interest rates at least 17.9%. I now have a new Visa from my credit union with no annual fee and 3.99% interest on the balance transfers, and a credit limit higher than all those cards combined. If you haven't joined a credit union yet, you might look into it. Mine has been very, very good to me.

1. I love my credit union.
Just this afternoon I emptied an account at BigEvil Bank and moved the money to my credit union money market account. The interest rates suck everywhere, but they suck a bit less at credit unions. They are getting my safety deposit box, too.

2. I wish there were a credit union in my neck of the woods that I could join
I also wish there was a local bank that I could move my business to but alas there is not.

5. Thanks! I found a Credit Union that isn't too far away and is open
to anyone that lives in the county.

6. My CU is out of State
There used to be a branch where I worked but that plant shut down years ago, so I still bank with them, online. Been with them for about 18 years and no problems.
