Who WAS the minister on the Crowley (CNN) show just now?
No, not Gary the big eyed bigot...the other gentleman, who, in response to questions about Evangelical Christian reaction to Cain's little problems, said that "the BUDGET is a moral problem for Christians....cutting aid to poor families while continuing to subsidized the oil industry is, in fact, a moral issue. (He clearly meant a moral shortcoming.) And when Gary (whose last name I have Freudian-blocked) offered the "Christian moral position" that ALL children should be welcomed into the world...my new favorite minister pointed out that how we treat children when they're already here is the real moral question here.

I walked into the kitchen too late to get his name (I avoid Ms. Crowley whenever I can anyway) but I hope someone can tell me who he is.
Sturdy build, glasses, grey hair, lovely deep voice.

Along with Mr. Bauer. Now I wish I'd seen it but I can't take Crowley's slanted attitudes usually.

3. Jim Wallis? He is excellent.
The media seems to think only abortion and gay marriage are religious issues. Poverty is a moral issue, it's a faith issue, it's a religious issue.
Jim Wallis

We are prophetic interrogators. Why are so many people hungry? Why are so many people and families in our shelters? Why do we have one of six of our children poor, and one of three of these are children of color? 'Why?' is the prophetic question.
Jim Wallis

We have got some mountains to move. Three billion people - half of God's children - are living on less than $2 a day.
Jim Wallis
