Thailand's Prince Maha doesn't seem to be playing with a full deck. First he got the idea of making his dog Foo Foo a high ranking military officer and dressing the animal up in full regalia. As the dog's birthday approached, Prince Maha decided to throw a lavish party, invite lots of guests, really pull out all the stops. That still wasn't enough for the Prince. To match the spirit of the occasion, he directed that his wife show up topless!

It's a zany story but it's true. There are so many discordant elements it didn't register even when Wikileaks released video of the gala. The headline still doesn't make any sense: Topless Princess Celebrates Air Marshal Foo Foo's Birthday Party. WTF?

Poor Srirasmi - the things she has to do to please her man. She's a real princess, too. She does all the ceremonial things royal persons do - visits orphanages, officiates at ceremonies, etc. Perhaps the people of Thailand have different expectations of princesses. It's unimaginable that a western princess would appear naked at a birthday party for a dog.
