A new woman alleging sexual harassment by presidential hopeful Herman Cain will break her silence at a news conference with her powerhouse attorney Gloria Allred Monday afternoon in New York City, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The embattled GOP nominee has admitted that several women who worked at the National Restaurant Association during his tenure as president of the organization received settlements. Politico has reported that the settlements were given because of sexual harassment allegations.

The woman, who will be the first to go public on Monday, sought Cain's help with an employment issue and was allegedly sexually harassed by him. Allred and her client will discuss, in detail, what she alleges occurred with Cain.

1. It would probably be better received without Allred by her side
But we'll take it.

Does that make four? I am losing count here.

Is radaronline a trustworthy source?

9. Hard to say. Bet it's the third one, the one who didn't actually
file a suit.

16. Two women received settlements from the NRA
and then a third woman told the lawyer, Mr. Bennett, that she was also harassed but that she had not filed a complaint.
And also there was the conservative radio guy that said two of his employees were sexually harassed.
And another person that attended a NRA event said that he witnessed someone sexually harassed by Cain.

Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 07:45 AM by seabeyond
5 or 6 could be several.... complaints. though, 5 or 6 is a handful to me, not several

20. Well, THREE could be considered several
we've heard of TWO settlements so far - and there might be one more out there.

5. You had me until 'Gloria Allred'....
I think it rather unlikely Cain will be the next President of the US.
He'll have a fine career playing victim for $20,000+/speech.

11. I was just thinking, if it was me, who would I go to to reinforce my
credibility. At first I thought, a stodgy, conservative male. But then, they'd find he had some tie to a Repub campaign. Gloria's
probably a liberal so then they would say it was the left wing hollywood people behind it. Hmmm....guess I'd try to find an obscure,
non-political person who never gave a dime to anyone's campaign.

30. That is such bull. Of course
Gloria filed the first lawsuit in California challenging the denial of marriage licenses as being unconstitutional. She took the case pro bono for Robin Tyler and Diane Olson and Rev. Troy Perry and his husband Phillip Ray De Blieck. This lead to thye California Supreme Court ruling in favor of equal marriage rights for lesbian and gay couples. Of course that bugs the 'God is in the Mix' anti equality 'moderates' and Republicans...Rush can not stand her, for example.
She is one of the most successful lawyers in the nation and she has argued many cases that have done great things for those of us without full standing in society.
Here is a quote from her that I like:
“More than anything, in the face of adversity and injustice, I want you to overcome your fear and be fearless, find your voice and not be voiceless, exert your power and not be powerless. I want you to be able to fight back and win justice for yourself, your children, your family, and your community.”
Pretty awful, eh?

31. The main thing I know about her is ...
her obsessive focus on the Nadia Suleman case.
She over stepped her bounds and invaded Nadia's life/home.

Sorry, I do not hold Ms. Alred in high esteem at the moment.
I've only seen her as a media wh#@$
Maybe she isn't but that's how she looks to me.

7. No modern farce is complete
without an appearance by Gloria Allred. I guess she's going to have to explain why she didn't pursue her claim many years ago, even though she knew others did.

12. No. That game sat night sucked big time
I was out-of-pocket -- did everyone criticize the decision to go for a field goal instead of punting in OT?

19. Sorry--
but if you don't score---all it takes is a score by the opposing team and you're done.

Alabama missed a 52 yard field goal.

From there LSU drove the ball to the 7, and then kicked the winning field goal.

Point is--- you don't score a point on your first possession--- you leave yourself with a huge risk.

24. Yep, fully understand that concept
BUT there is a line to draw between taking a stupid risk with a shitty kicker and handing the ball over w/excellent position.

35. I hear you...and somewhat agree...
my thinking is if they drove from the 42 to the 7, they could have done the same from the 20 after a punt into field goal range.

What if the punter shanked it---or it got blocked, or it is run back 30 yards.

It's extremely hard to place a punt near the goal line....

Again--- I understand your point---I'm just thinking from a tactical decision, it was best to try the field goal. mho

39. In OT, field position ALWAYS starts at the 25 yard line.
No team has ever punted in college OT and never will.

You're thinking of pro football rules.

25. Opposing team starts on your 25 yard line even if you punt in OT
So you gain no advantage by punting.

Besides, punting is only for teams that lack self-confidence and those teams don't end up as national champions.

No matter what you do, the other team starts from your 25 yardline.
