Lindsay Lohan checks in - then out - of jail
Lindsay Lohan checks in - then out - of jail

Lindsay Lohan was released after serving only a few hours of her 30 day sentence at a Los Angeles county jail.

The one-time child star checked in to the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California before 9 p.m. Sunday, and was back out hours later, according to CNN.

...

A judge sentenced the 25-year-old to 30 days behind bars for violating her probation after she was terminated from a community service assignment at a women’s shelter.
..

This is the fifth jail sentence the "Freaky Friday" star has received since being arrested twice for drunken driving in 2007.

21. Oh please.
She can well afford to care for her teeth. Poor people who lack access to affordable dental and health care aren't the same thing as spoiled Hollywood trash who destroy their chompers with drugs, booze, cigs, and slovenly hygiene.

4. I believe that drug abuse shouldn't be a crime punishalbe in jail - folks should have to go to rehab
too much taxpayer money is being spent on lawyers, court costs, and jail housing - make the folks that can afford it pay for a years confinement in a rehab facilitation.

10. Huh?
Possession of (legal) alcohol and cigarettes is not something that will put you into jail/prison.
So, what are you talking about?

11. Here's the words you wrote..
"I believe that drug abuse shouldn't be a crime punishalbe in jail - folks should have to go to rehab".

Which led me to believe that you thought anyone abusing a mind altering substance should be forced into rehab.

Your further posts on the subject have now indicated to me that you think it's the legality or lack of such of a mind altering substance that makes it necessary for someone to go to rehab.

12. Go take a nap.
You must be hallucinating.
I didn't say anything about mind altering substances.
I was talking about DRUGS - which most rational people know as ILLEGAL DRUGS.

If you are one of those EXTREME folks that think that beer/wine/cigarettes are DRUGS (as opposed to REAL drugs) then I do not have a desire to converse with you. Ciao :)

23. Those fake drugs you list are responsible for FAR more deaths than any of the "real drugs"
you refer to. Alcohol and cigarettes lead to millions of deaths per year. Unlike the REAL drug marijuana which causes none.

Are they? Yes or no.

16. the nitpicking bullshit the court required isn't a recovery program
It's just nitpicking bullshit.

Breaking the court rules doesn't necessarily have anything to do with a drug habit, addiction, dental hygiene (what the fuck business is that of anyone), or any other malady the tabloids invent so folks out here can pretend they really know all about her.

She should have done the time up front and been done with the court's paternalistic nonsense.

18. The frontal lobe of the average person doesn't fully develop until the age of
26 to 28 years old.

hopefully, she will get her shit together, but given the fact of her bizarre family life, it will take therapy for her to get balance in her life.

I feel sorry for anyone who is young and living in a fishbowl their whole lives.

I had worked in the film industry for years and saw first hand what the effects of fame does to people. Some turn into complete assholes, some turn into really nice people some become train-wrecks and a lot of them, freak out because they don't know how to handle it because they have zero coping skills.

I hope one day, she has a peaceful life.

19. I was watching The Wizard of Oz last night . . .
. . . wondering what sort of pills Judy Garland was put on while making that movie. Her industry bosses started her at 14-15 years old.

It's a crime what they did to her and many many others in music and film over the decades.
