Westboro Baptist Church Humiliated in Vegas |

Summary: Interviewer asks them questions, and their replies make them look even more stupid (if that is possible). One guy claims people are not gay by choice but that it is a punishment from god... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isY1wsGcH9k&feature=youtu.be

1. They are protesting God's will. |
|
Couldn't that cause God to make them gay? If that were to happen, would they protest themselves? I'm so confused.

4. While I couldn't force myself to watch the video |

it is my opinion that these people cannot be embarrassed. We can only look and be embarrassed for them.
So it is with all cultish believers.

7. My sentiments exactly. |

If others here can come back and say they really became embarrassed then I'll take a look at the video. Until then, I won't give them the satisfaction having them on my mind today.

They honestly sound like they've never read the Bible, don't know what it says, and are generally confused about what they stand for. That's not so much religious dogma as signs of the disordered thinking of mental illness.
The older lady seems to be disassociated with reality, period, weird religious ideas aside. She acted like she was undiagnosed, unmedicated bipolar. I have a bipolar individual in my family and her conversation patterns are very familiar. Medication can really help a lot.
A textbook sign of bipolar is being unable to carry on a conversation without wandering off the topic, or answering questions with unrelated conversation about something they want to discuss, then wandering from topic to topic randomly without a natural progression. It's very hard to have a conversation with a bipolar, even to communicate important points of information. It's not a two-way conversation, it's a monologue. Whatever you are saying is not sinking in. Religious fantasies and delusions of grandeur are clinical signs of uncontrolled mental illness.
It was really sad to see that goodlooking young man with his life destroyed by hate so young. He didn't seem crazy, just ignorant and badly raised by mentally ill people that told him their delusions were reality. It's so sad to see such obvious clinical signs of mental illness untreated, and the sad consequences for the next generation.
