and specious. It allows them and other conservatives claim it is a witch hunt, without the witch. A non-denial denial, as it were.
More accurately, it puts their ugly mugs out on the Tee & Vee, appearing as though they support Cain, maintain their conservative cred, attack liberals (either tacitly or more subtly) AND makes them sound rational and reasonable, when their hypocrisy is rather painful.
