Made in the USA! :patriot:

I admit that I was surprised to see they weren't made in China.

Scabs put Toyotas together here in the states - fact. What do you call the Mexicans that put our Ford made in the USA cars together? Surely not union workers; and surely Ford is not concerned with unions any more. The top1% could care less and it boils down to just that. Not name calling. Now, feel free to have the last word as this won't turn into a back and forth as you would like it to.

30. "Scab" refers to non-union/union-busters. It doesn't have anything to do with race or ethnicity.
"What do you call the Mexicans that put our Ford made in the USA cars together?"

UAW workers. :eyes:

be worth thousands and thousands eventually down the road.

12. I just saw some USA-made socks at TJMaxx today.
I think they were Carr Brothers or something like that, made in Vermont. I bought some Columbia brand socks that are US-made there this past spring. Still some things made here...

14. The difference between B2B & B2C are quite striking.
I'm a manufacturing supply chain guy by profession and I just ran a quick query of material spend by country of origin. Of the $145MM we spent in the covered period $121MM was on on US origin products. New Zealand and Canada come next and get us to $140M. We spend <$1MM with any other country.

I've worked at several manufacturing places for well over 20 yrs and never yet spent less than 60% domestically, even when making/buying low value high volume components with limited regulatory oversight. (It's a bit unfair to include places where DFARS etc has made it very tricky to import, so referring to where decisions based on internal criteria).

Where I am now is my first consumer-product manufacturing employer even, where I fully understand normally imported goods are more common.

16. It was probably made at a slave labor camp in the Marianas
Remember good ole' Tom Delay? His specialty was getting exceptions in US law so that companies in the Marianas Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean could import very cheap laborers from other countries. The companies would then be able to produce "Made in USA" products without employing any actual Americans.

There is plenty of that available. Soap and toothpaste and tissues, too. At least we still produce bathroom products.

them here again.

22. Much of the Home Depot merchandise is made by prison labor.
The only jobs left in America are behind bars.
Average salary, if one is paid at all, $1.25- $5 and some change...
