She is someone who tends to bring out a strong reaction either way. IOW, perhaps she turns off those who might be sympathetic otherwise?

Just a thought...

4. I thought she was pretty restrained today...from what I saw of the
news conference. This woman is going to stand on her own, I think.

6. Maybe you are confused...
Are you saying that the Allred doesn't invoke a strong reaction in people? What part of the question is incorrect?

Should everyone just get in a line and bleat in unison? Sheesh...

8. So do we go around always concerned with what everything thinks about everything,
or do we toss caution to the wind, and just get her done?

If you think Herman Cain is going to survive this no matter
who an attorney is, I've got news for you.

This is about Herman Cain's behavior,
not who Gloria Allred is.....

as it should be.

7. Gloria Allred as a lawyer....
always has her ducks in a row. Let the facts speak for themselves and amuse yourself watching her adversaries try to spin them.

12. Yes, IF she was the one who could convince the woman that she could do this.
It might have taken a strong woman like Allred to convince her, because coming out like this was an act of bravery.

15. Allred doesn't convince
She's on record that all her clients come to her. She doesn't need to chase ambulances.

16. Not saying she did...
I think though that her presence may hurt more than it may help in the court of public opinion.

13. Why not?
First of all, she's not the accuser's "lawyer" in terms of any kind of case being brought. This is not a court case, criminal or civil. Allred merely is representing her in bringing her story to the public attention.

Allred has been shining the light on discriminatory practices and behavior against women for decades. Bully for her. Sorry if some (usually on the right) can't take it.

only when spoken to and then with modulated tones while being demure and refusing to step into the limelight.

edit: or an in-your-face man who is well-known for speaking his mind and not backing down a bit.
