Cain HAS TO GO. This is FAR WORSE than Anthony Weiner. |
|
Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 08:15 PM by FarLeftFist
I don't want to hear shit from the GOP or the pundits. It's over for Cain starting immediately. I don't want to hear explanations, I don't want to hear excuses, I don't want this to drag on any further than it has to, I don't want an ethics investigation, it's OVER!
Edit: I DO want a continued investigation by the police into a criminal matter if that is the woman's choice. And I want the WHOLE truth to come out, but he must step down IMMEDIATELY as a presidential candidate!

It's time to start calling them out on this shit each and every time, as it occurs. Especially the MSM "liberal media" who rarely address their CONSTANT hypocrisy.

Dem politicians should be calling out republicans at every turn. This is one reason why I think the democratic party is better off getting women into more positions of power and filling the candidate field with hard campaigning women candidates, no Martha Coakleys, PLEASE!!!

24. 'family values' was never anything more than GOP code for homosexual bigotry |
|
Kinda like 'states rights' was GOP code speak for racism.
They like to package their bigotries into somewhat socially acceptable boxes. This tends to go over better in some areas compared to the white sheet/pointy white hat getup.

Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 08:53 PM by Major Nikon
People do it every day. It's pretty common. For some reason people expect politicians to be puritans when it comes to sexual matters that have absolutely no impact to their ability to do their job. I could care less who Weiner shows his weiner to. Were it not for the issues of hypocrisy, I could care less if Craig blows strange men in bathroom stalls or even if Vitter picks up prostitutes. I don't even care that they lied about it. It wasn't anyone's business to begin with.
It bothers me a lot more that the vast majority of politicians are for sale, and it doesn't even take all that much money or favors to buy them off. Instead of making an issue out of this, we front page and endlessly hound politicians who show their dork to women who apparently wanted to see it. That to me is the true idiocy.
As far as Cain goes, I agree completely. It was a very different situation.

|
In time, they'll put him well behind the "H. Ross Perot" and "Pat Paulsen" material in the "Presidential election oddities" files.
The backlash cometh. It's just a little slow on the uptake. His bad luck is that this came out at the start of the week, not the end--so it can be beaten to death for five straight days, and then re-brutalized on the Sunday talk shows.

Herman Cain has never had to deal with a real debater, since the other Rethugs are trying to avoid the "racist" label. Barack Obama would not have that constraint.
He'd rip Cain to shreds, while all the women who Cain propositioned are cheering.

I am wildly in favor of the way that Limbaugh et al keep defending him. When Cain finally goes down in flames--if not because of the allegations, then because he is simply not bright enough or prepared enough to be the nominee--there won't be time to rally their troops around Rick Perry, and they hate Romney, so they won't have anybody to give free advertising to. Plus they'll be on record as having put all their chips on a serial sexual abuser.
