So as Obama awaits the Super Theft Committee's "consensus" on his proposed cuts to Social Security,
Medicare, and Medicaid...

his administration is busy finalizing an unconscionable settlement that will let the criminal banks that crashed this economy and left millions in poverty off the hook for an outrageous, insulting 25 billion dollars.

This is why the Occupy Wall Street movement is so important. It reflects the awakening of Americans, finally, to what is being done to them, and to the fact that the old (D) and (R) labels don't necessarily mean what they used to.

Yes, it is important to elect Democrats, but it is far more important to elect the RIGHT Democrats. And most of all, it is critical that we identify and purge the Third Way corporatists who have infiltrated our party.

2. Given that Obama has proposed no cuts to Social Security, your OP has little credibility.
Particularly when you go on to repeat nonsense about the foreclosure settlement as if it were about the economic impact of the housing bubble, and not foreclosure fraud.

3. That is patently false.

The chained CPI was absolutely a part of his April proposal, and it is absolutely a cut.

Moreover, it will affect the SS benefits of both current and future beneficiaries, something he told Americans he would not do.

Your comment about the banks is incoherent.

4. The system we have will corrupt even the RIGHT Democrats after we elect them.
We have to change the system if we ever hope to reverse the path we're on as a nation.

I truly feel that hoping for "more and better" Democrats is a losing proposition with our current system.

More energy needs to be spent on overhauling our system.

I'm not saying electing Dems is not important, but changing how our government works is more important. A movement where liberals, conservatives, and moderates join forces to change the system (leaving partisan issues aside) will give us a government where Congress persons will serve the people's needs and desires. We have to shut out the legalized bribery our system currently allows.

6. Don't forget Obama pushed the Korean and Columbian Free Trade...
al George Bush programs.

Obama has managed to ship what few jobs we had offshore.
