Romney complains federal employees make more than he does
Romney complains federal employees make more than he does

Wearing his best plaid work shirt and Tommy Bahama blue jeans, the candidate explained to workers at Giese Manufacturing that he would slash the number of federal employees if elected.

“We have to cut back on the scale of the federal government,” Romney declared. “And for me that will start by reducing federal employees by 10 percent. You do that through attrition.”

“And then something else that is just as important, and that’s to make sure the people who work for government don’t get better pay and better benefits than people that work in the private sector.”

He added: “The tax payers shouldn’t have to have money taken out of their pay checks to pay people in government who are our servants who are making a lot more money than we are.”

3. Once upon a time we tried to raise the standard of living for all.
These bastards only want to lower the pay & bennies for government workers because it might remind people in the private sector that they once not only had it that good but they had it BETTER.

4. He needs to define "make"...
Edited on Tue Nov-08-11 09:55 AM by Javaman
sure they do. They work for a paycheck. They work for a living.

he, on the other hand, lives off his investments and does what ever the hell he claims he does to "make" money.

regardless of how mittens enjoys twisting and flip flopping, he's still full of shit.

another day in the new bizarre reality of mittens.

5. He trying to pit people against the federal employee
They make more than you do, they get better health care than you do, they get better vacations than you do, they get better retirement than you do. Then they will say: And you pay for it.

Demonize the little guy and make it sound like they are getting a better deal than everyone else. That is how they tried to pit people of Ohio against the public employee in Issue 2 (SB-5) in commercials. Made me sick.

:nuke:

7. he does this while wearing his middle class costume
the sad part is there are people who buy this bullshit. Wearing a plaid shirt doesn't make Mitt a working man anymore than my wearing a black cape makes me Batman.

That's it, Mitt. Let your true aristocratic nature come through. You'll feel fulfilled.

10. Until bu$h the Lesser was installed, the private sector made more that the public sector did.
Ir is only because the private sector pay and benefits has fallen so far that the public sector looks good in comparison now.

The fix is not to lower the public sector down to where the private sector has fallen, but to raise the private sector back up to where it was before the treasonous Republicans took over.

He has NO CLUE what it's like to be a working man. He's been a 1%er since birth and his insistence he's one of us pisses me off.

12. so then the public worker has less money to spend on private workers goods
and down the economic spiral we go. The net result of Romney economics is we all end up poor and he's still rich and then the "we" ends.

These hedge fund types won't be happy until every last American
