...serviceman is doing is intentionally beating the animal to death. Just to be clear on the point, that killing has no relationship to any Abrahamic religion's customs.
What that video shows has nothing to do with religion, or I should say it has nothing to do with any Middle-Eastern religion.
But it does have to do with the god so many Americans pray to: The god of violence.

One of the LL commenters makes a good point. While there are a lot of soldiers standing around in military duds while this is filmed, the actual beating is done by someone wearing civilian clothing. Since the kid presumably didn't wander in there by himself, or belong to any of the soldiers, it's probable that the person doing the beating wasn't actually a U.S. soldier, but was some sort of civilian (possibly contractor, maybe a local).
Still no excuse for standing around and cheering the beating though.

If you're appalled by the cruelty (how could one not be?), do something proactive and send it to someone in authority. Otherwise, you might be accused of disseminating depictions of animal cruelty just for fun.
